For students who have completed the Montessori Early Childhood programs, the environment offers continuity with familiar routines and learning materials that opens new lessons and opportunities for more complex exploration and discovery. For our returning Montessori students, the Montessori Elementary program expands upon the learning fostered in our Early Childhood program (Pre-Casa and Casa program). For those students who are new to Montessori, it orients them to the joys of learning and responsible participation.
Teachers guide, mentor and prepare children through a meticulous tri-breed curriculum of DEP-ED, Modern Montessori Curriculum and our originally first Financial Education Curriculum in the Philippines. These layers of curriculum are intertwined and individually tailored to amplify skills, interests, talents, needs, and abilities of every students. Teachers monitor progress against established benchmarks and expectations for student learning, including academic preparedness, independence, confidence, autonomy, intrinsic motivation, social responsibility, and global citizenship. YTA offer an unparalleled education that makes the most of every child’s critical formative years. The benefits are more than academic, by nurturing the whole child, we prepare them to be global entrepreneurs, financially literate young citizens, leaders, speakers, and life-long learners, creators and innovators not just better students.
Children who are new to Montessori quickly feel at home with the inspired teaching that appeals to their deepest interests, and with the distinctive, hands-on learning materials that teachers introduce sequentially according to the students’ developmental needs and paradigm. YTA education prepares your child for success in and outside of the classroom. The classroom is unconventional as other Elementary schools, we design ours to an interactive and happy educational setting. Students are focused and exudes confidence where expectations are both exquisitely clear and engagingly open-ended. They take joy in their work. They invent, explore, experiment, confer, create, meditate, bake/cook, prepare snacks, exposed to advanced writing, proof reading, book & movie critiquing, developing skills in impromptu, extemporaneous and public speaking, introduce to international language aside from the mother tongue and lastly instituting STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Meanwhile, teachers circulate throughout the room, observing the students and making notes about their progress, ever ready to offer support or introduce new material, as appropriate.
Our Lower Elementary program (Grades 1 – 3) is based on the transitioning of full modern Montessori curriculum into our signature tri-breed curriculum (integration of Modern Montessori curriculum, DEP-ED curriculum and Philippines’ first Financial Education curriculum). We strongly believe that children learn best through movement and work with their hands, and provides cognitive, social, and emotional support to help them reach their full potential. This includes addressing their needs as they enter a new period of development characterized by the effective transition from concrete to abstract thinking, growing interest in socialization, thinking and memory that is enhanced by creativity and imagination and interest in mindfulness, fairness, social justice, and compassion.
On the other hand, our Higher Elementary program (Grades 4 – 6) has advanced tri-breed curriculum, classroom environment, passionate faculty and abundance of research and analysis programs all foster a child’s in-depth learning curiosity. Students follow their own passions and work at their own pace as they discover their unique potential. Unlike traditional schools, children develop a deep love of learning instead of just memorization of facts. Our teachers act as guides, mentors and facilitator in following the child’s own passions at his or her own pace towards the standards of our tri-breed curriculum instead of teaching the same lesson to a group of diversified individuals.
How we do it is what sets us apart. YTA emerges for exceptional academic programs, but we don’t stop there. We continue to improve, embrace and redefine new threshold of learning programs and so much more. The result? Confident leaders and speakers, independent critical thinkers, problem solvers, imaginative creators and respectful leaders who have attainable vision and understand the gifts they have to offer the world.
